Very Late - March Favourites!

So. It's been a while.

To be honest I kinda didn't know what I wanted to be posting for a while and took a short break until I really got the urge to start posting again and more regularly! I had a lot going on and just needed a little me time..

But that's done now and I'm ready to get back into the swing of things and what better way than to do a favourites post!! An extremely late one if I'm honest but better late than never, yeah?

Anyway, here's my favourites for March 2016!

1. L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24hr Foundation. This is one of my favourite drug store foundations if not my favourite! I use so many different foundations but this one is great for a full day of makeup ie. work where i'm out from about 9am to 6pm, as it doesn't move or dry out my skin too much which can be a big problem for me. I've been loving this for it's coverage also, it covers all my redness and dark circles (that being said I still place a little concealer under my eyes.. Staying up late to watch 'one more episode' before an early morning eyes need a little more tlc!)

2. Dior Airflash Foundation. This is a spray on foundation. To be honest I wasn't one hundred percent sure how I was going to feel about this but after seeing it pop up everywhere on YouTube tutorials and seeing some of my absolute favourite people use it (Jeffree Star, Nikkie Tutorials and Patrick Star) I knew I needed to try this out. As it's on the more expensive side I only use this if I'm going out or have something on where I've a full face of makeup on and not in my daily makeup routine. When talking to the staff at the Dior counter I picked it up at she suggested wearing it as a top coat of foundation over another for a flawless finish to save the product and make it last longer. I use it on top of my Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation Stick as that's my number one foundation at the moment and I'm absolutely in love with the finish it gives me. I find it leaves a more matte finish to my MF foundation as I find it can also be slightly oily on me so this balances out for a flawless look all night! I'm in love.

3. Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser. I have definitely found this is helping to stop my skin getting clogged up and stopping me getting breakouts. I have really dry skin on my eyes (around my eyes I suffer from ezcema) and cheeks but I'm oiler on my t-zone and around my chin area. I struggled to find a moisturiser which kept my skin from drying out during the day but also stopped my pores from clogging up in my oiler areas. This works perfect for me and it's really light weight! It keeps me moisturised all day and I even love the smell when applying it.

4. Boots Botanics Rosewater Toner. I'm actually really seeing results from this and I'm so surprised for such a small price tag! I had darker patches around my chin from past blemishes and I can really see them fading. I also noticed the texture on the tops of my cheeks fading too! I'm trying so hard to get the texture of my skin away so if anyone has any tips please send them my way!

5. Morphe 35T Palette. I love the colours in this palette. They're warm taupe, brown and shimmer shades. It's so gorgeous and I definitely think this palette is under appreciated. I'm serious, for such a small price tag I'm surprised more people don't have this as a makeup collection staple! Also, I just purchased the 35K palette so expect posts on that soon!

6. BaByliss Pro Curling Wand. I find this so easy and so great to use to create tight curls or loose waves! For really tight curls which last me days I curl each piece then pin it up and when my whole head is cool I take it down or leave it over night. For slightly looser curls I just curl the hair, spray with hairspray and let it cool and then run my fingers through it to separate the curls! For loose waves I do the same as the second method and when it's cool I brush it through for gorgeous beachy-summer vibes hair! And for just less than £20 this curling wand is a steal! It also has multiple heat settings so if like me you wear extensions or don't want to damage your own hair the lowest setting is perfect to still get great curls!

In terms of other favourites in March I was obsessed with Tattoo Fixers! I never got to watch a full episode as I just saw bits here and there but I finally watched every episode. It's a great show and despite the backlash that was online I really enjoyed it.. and Jay and Sketch. They're both so beautiful! lol

I also started a new thing called Music Fridays so on the last Friday of the month I'll post my playlist for that month which will be an eclectic mix of all my favourite tunes from the previous month! March's is up on the blog so check it out HERE!

That's everythinig for March and expect more posts and fun things soon!!

January Favourites!

I am going to make a point of posting a favourites post every month, I get so excited reading everyone else's posts so I thought why not!

In make up, one of my biggest favourites and most used products is my Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette. I got this early December and for the last two months anytime I've worn eyeshadow it's been this palette. It has every colour you could want. Nudes, browns, metallics and brights! It's a great palette and you can create so many very different eye looks with this.

I have been loving this Bobbi Brown Blush I got in Berry. I've been using it on my eyes as a shadow colour (multiple uses makes splurging a little less guilt ridden!) It's great paired with Punk from the Gwen x UD palette and as a pop of colour under the lash line with a smokey eye!

A great drugstore product that has been gracing my face lately is the MUA (Make Up Academy) Highlighter in Iridescent Gold. For £3 this is a steal! It's best used on a damp blush to intensify that colour and it's the most gorgeous shade. I would say it's the most similar to Moonstone from ABH!

A lip combo I have been rocking lately is Mac Lip Pencil in Soar and Mac Lipstick in Mehr. This gives my lips a great mauve/pink shade which is a colour we've seen be released religiously over the last year. Thank you Kylie J. I'm in love with the shade and need every lip stick, pencil, etc. in this colour. (Roll on Friday the 12th so I can grab some Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Androgyny!)

A more random favourite on January has been a Body Shop body, room and linen spray I received as a Christmas present! It's a Jasmine & White Frangipani scent. This smell is amazing. It's a fresh scent with a hint of sweetness but nothing over powering. Anyone who has smelt this has asked what this is all the time. It's beautiful and I think I'll need to go purchase myself another one soon!

A few other favourites I have from January are my Adidas Tubular trainers in grey I got for Christmas. These are the most comfortable shoes and look so good with black jeans and a slouchy tee for an effortlessly put together look. I wore this with a bomber jacket yet nice makeup and hair and I definitely feel girly yet so comfortable - best of both worlds! (for me)

As I've been working lots lately I've been coming home, catching up on my youtube videos, blog posts, organising my posts & writing them and then playing SO MUCH MARIO KART 8. This game is too good. I'm basically a pro now, just saying. Since I played it so much this month (I've only 4 cups left to get and very little customisations) I thought it wouldn't be right to leave this out lol!

I've been obsessing over shows lately. I go through phases of watching back to back films or episodes of amazing tv shows and in January Teen Wolf came back. I watch so many tv shows but this is the only one I've religiously followed weekly from day one. Which is an amazing feat in itself really. This show started out as a teen show in a school but now nearing the end of season 5 it's dark, captivating, interesting and once the episode I'm watching ends I'm dying to see the next one. I can't speak highly enough of this show. I'm obsessed. Also, Dylan O'Brien is in it, that always helps! *Swoons*

So that's it for my favourites this month. What has been catching your eye and been a staple for January please let me know in the comments!

Good Girl Vibes - Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam Inspired Look 2

I posted my Bad Girl Vibes post inspired by the other half of this Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam collection yesterday. I really love that look and I want to rock it again soon!

Today, I decided to let my good girl out and do a Good Girl Vibes inspired look using the Lipglass from the collection. It's a gorgeous pinky/clear lipgloss with glitter through it. It photographs well and leaves me lips looking plump and so luscious, which is a great change in this colder weather!

To inspire this look I looked at Ariana's usual every day make up and it consists mostly of flawless skin, a nude coloured lid, a great cat eye, big lashes and a beautiful lip! So I used my usual base with a subtle metallic pink eye, a cat eye and the lipgloss!

To recreate this look if you are interested just follow these steps:

Step 1: Moisturise and prime your face. For a flawless finish and longevity this step is so important!

Step 2: For my base I applied a generous amount of Kryolan TV Paint stick and blended this in using a damp beauty blender (I have real techniques version). I then contoured my face using my Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit. Using the two lightest contour shades mixed under my cheekbones, around my forehead, under my chin and at the end of the bridge of my nose. I blended this using my Real Techniques Face Expert brush.
I then added concealer under my eyes and where I want to highlight. (forehead, cheekbones, bridge of my nose, cupids bow and just a small amount on my chin.)

Step 3: To set this I used loose powder under my eye and left it on to 'bake'. (Check youtube tutorials if unsure) I then powered my face where I get oily during the day and used Mac Blush in Harmony to contour.

Step 4: For my eyes I applied a transition colour in my crease. I used Stark from the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette. On my lid and slightly above I used Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Pink Gold and set it with Harajuku from the Gwen x UD Palette. I then went over the lid with Pop from the same palette to add a slight bit of glitter.

Step 5: I used a fluffy brush to wipe away the excess powder and fallout under my eye.

Step 6: I went in with Anaheim from the Gwen x UD Palette at my waterline and Blonde from that Palette on the inside of my eye with a small amount of Pop on top.

Step 4: I added a large winged liner (Wet n' Wild Liquid Liner) like Ariana usually has and a coat of mascara (Maybelline Lash Sensational) and false lashes. I used Primark lashes in Sultry.

Step 5: I added to my cheek contour with Lo-Fi From the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay Blush palette that I bought today (Post on that coming soon!), added a pop of colour to my cheeks by using the easy shade for blush and angel for highlight where I had placed my concealer! This palette has everything you could need - so gorgeous!

Step 6: To finish the look I applied a small amount of Mac Soar Lip Pencil to my lips and coated them with the Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam Lipglass!

This look is super easy to wear and the eyes could be toned down to a nice cool brown tone to wear something similar to what Ariana probably would!

If you wanna treat yo' self to this lipstick the link is here. ALL proceeds go to the Mac Aids Fund which is amazing and makes spending that money a little easier and makes me a little less guilty lol!

I love to do these make up posts so if you'd want to see more let me know and what looks!

Bad Girl Vibes - Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam Inspired Look 1

As I got my Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam collection in the post a few days ago I was dying to try them out with my full 'face' on. As I couldn't wait I did a Bad Girl inspired look with Ariana's lipstick!

My post can be found HERE including swatches, what the product looks like and my first impressions!

I adore this colour and when I put it on I was a bit hesitant if I could pull it off but I just love it. It's definitely a colour I may have shied away from as it does look quite dark but once I had it on I absolutely loved it!!

The look I created included a dark eye to compliment the dark and vampy lip colour with a little bit of shimmer to brighten it up and keep it girly! This look is definitely one I want to rock in the future and I'll probably do it with a pop of glitter on my lid!

I'm going to try my best to explain how I created this look for you!

Step 1: Moisturise and prime your face. For a flawless finish and longevity this step is so important!

Step 2: This look includes a smoky eye so I applies my eyeshadow next to keep fall out to a minimum and I can clean everything up before applying my base. I started with a wash of colour all over my lid. I used Righteous from my Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Palette. It's a pale nude and helps blending the next colours on top.
I then went into my crease with Anaheim from the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay Palette (I'll link my post on this HERE so you can check it out & see the colours mentioned!) With a smaller brush and right in my crease to darken it I applied Punk from the Gwen x UD Palette - an amazing colour! On the lip I placed Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Pink Gold on my Lid. I set this with a similar shade from a UD palette and placed an extremely light layer of Bobbi Brown Blush in Berry.
I tidied up around this area with a cotton pad and then moved onto my face.

Step 3: My Base. I started with a trusty Kryolan Tv Paint Stick. This gives me my FULL coverage base and if you're looking for a similar product I reccomend the Make Up Forever Ultra HD Stick Foundation. I then added some concealer under my eyes, Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Light.
I then contoured with Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit in Medium. I used the two shades on the bottom row to the left mixed. I then highlighted my face with the lightest shade and concealer where I needed it around my face.
To set this I baked under my eyes as they have a tendency to crease and used Maybelline Loose Powder to do this. To set my contour I used Mac Blush in Harmony as it gives the best shadow colour for my skin tone.

Step 4: Once my face was nearly finished I went back to my eyes and applied a pop of colour under my eye using the Bobbi Brown blush and a shimmer shade from the Gwen Palette called Pop on my lid and on the inside of my eye. I then went in with my black eyeliner and created a long wing. I used Wet 'n' Wild Mega Liner Liquid Liner and I applied a pair of Primark lashes in Sultry.

Step 5: I then did my eyebrows using my Illamasqua Brow Gel in Stare and an angled brush.

Step 5: I decided to add some powder highlight to brighten up this look and add a little more shimmer. I used my Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle with a fan brush. I placed this on the very tops of my cheek bone, tip of my nose and then my cupids bow. To complete my look I added a small amount of pink blush to my cheek to blend everything together nicely!

Step 5: I applied my Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam Lipstick and my look was complete!!

This was a fun post and I hope you liked it! If you would like to see more feel free to leave me a comment and if you use any of these products or think of some I'd like please recommend them! I love trying new things!

If you wanna treat yo' self to this lipstick the link is here. ALL proceeds go to the Mac Aids Fund which is amazing and makes spending that money a little easier and makes me a little less guilty lol!

Urban Decay + Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette Review.. Blogmas Day Four!

Hey!

(Hope you like the Christmassy make over my blog got!)

Today I'm posting about my Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette. I bought this palette on Monday while shopping in Belfast and I've been in love since. It's a perfect mixture of colours for me! It has the matte nudes/browns, which I love, for a daytime or subtle look and the most beautiful shimmer shades to brighten up a daily look or dazzle during the night!

I honestly don't think there is a shade in here which I couldn't rock! I was looking at the bright pink shimmer shade and the navy beside it hesitantly wondering if I actually could rock these.. The pink shade 'Harajuku' I think could look great on the lid to brighten up an eye look. Paired with a nice cat eye and lashes this could look super girly yet edgy! The navy blue colour 'Danger' when swatched is the most beautiful colour with iridescent blue sparkles within it and I will most definitely be rocking this with 'Serious' and 'Blackout' in a smokey eye, amazing! (Maybe I'll post some Gwen palette make up ideas soon!)

One of the biggest things worth mentioning is the packaging. I'm a sucker for nice packaging and omg does this palette tick all my boxes! It is monochrome with gold on the outside, great classic colours, and then the design makes its really cool looking and very Gwen.

I have to admit, it was definitely the eyeshadow shades that sold me on this palette. It's an amazing buy and perfect for anyone looking for a Christmas gift for her as I say many girls would wear these shades!

Here are the swatches I took of the shades all in natural light then with a flash:

(Left/bottom > Right/top: Blonde, Bathwater, Skimp, Steady, Punk)

(Left/bottom > Right/top: Baby, Anaheim, Stark, Zone, Serious)

(Left/bottom > Right/top: Pop, Harajuku, Danger, 1987, Blackout)

I hope you liked this palette and if you want to see any of the shades in more detail or a certain shade inspired make up look let me know, I think that could be a cool idea!

Haul time.. Blogmas Day Three!

Hi again!
To be honest, I haven't been able to control myself this month when it comes to shopping. If I've seen something I want I 'had' to get it.. Right? (That's how it works obvs) So this is gonna be a long one...
But it works to your advantage, here's some of the loot I picked up during the month of November and I hope you like it/wanna buy some of it!!
I'll also try my best to link everything for you!

I'll start first off with my new make up products! I saw some things I just really wanted to try and some things that I had to get.. (thanks gwen.)

One of my biggest purchases this month was the Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay! I absolutely love every shade. It's got the perfect mixture of matte brown/nudes and shimmer shades so I can use it for daytime wear and for a night out. It'll definitely be an everyday palette! It's sold out on the urban decay website but I got mine in Debenhams so they could have it in stock. (More on this coming soon and swatches!!) edit: find my review here!

I purchased some new lip products and a new blush.

I got the Topshop Matte Lipstick in Role Model, Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lips in the shade Nudist, NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in Transylvannia and the Bobbi Brown Blush in Berry. I love the berry shade and I know it's a tad dark for the cheeks but I've been wanted to rock that kind of eyeshadow colour for a while and couldn't find the shade I wanted until I seen this and it's super pigmented so I'll let you know how that goes!
As far as lip colours go I'm pretty obsessed with Topshop lipsticks and have been for some time, they're consistently good and really pigmented with such a wide range of colours!

Onto accessories!

The one thing that continuously catches my eye is anything iridescent or holographic. I'm bordering on obsessed.. So when I seen this clutch in New Look it was a no brainer! It's so beautiful and it definitely won't go unnoticed!
I also FINALLY got myself some Quay Australia sunglasses in the Invader style! I've lusted after these babies for more than a year after I saw someone post a photo of themselves in the gold pair and I fell in love! They're super quirky and cute! I was roaming Topshop's 'New In' section when I came across these and squealed a little inside as they sold out EVERYWHERE. I even searched eBay and Depop looking for a decent priced pair for months to no avail so you can guess how excited I was when I noticed these were back in stock! I snatched them up straight away but as there was only black and white available I went for the white for something different and when I rock them in summer I'll hopefully have a tan!

Primark nails are a fav of mine and I am rarely seen without them on. A full post on these is to follow and this rose gold bracelet for £1 is a steal it's gorgeous!

My next purchase was an AMAZING one, I'll be making a full post about these next as they are amazing and I really can't speak highly enough about them! They are my Milk + Blush clip in ombre hair extensions in spaced out. I'll link my post about them HERE incase
you're interested! (This photo also includes my amazing new head band from H&M)
(。♥‿♥。)

This photo also shows my new iPhone 6 Plus phone case which I may be slightly in love with. I ordered this from eBay for a couple of pound but I have found out that Skinnydip also have a very similar one which I'll link here!

I also bought these flat over the knee boots, which I absolutely love! They're from eBay again and they came brand new in a box wrapped up really well. They're super comfortable and I love the length especially as I'm quite tall.

My last purchases have been socks! I've never been so obsessed, I just love cloud print anything so when I seen these Lazy Oaf socks I couldn't resist and they're so cute!
Also, these transparent socks from Primark are really cute! I'm looking forward to pairing them with a cute pair of strappy heels for winter!

- - - - -

Ok, so lets start on my clothing buys! I can promise you there are less of these!

【=◈︿◈=】

My favourite clothing items for November have to be my Porter Robinson x Galaxxxy Worlds collab. These are just so amazing and so beautiful, I really love mine. I got the sweatshirt and tee from the second batch and both batches sold out in hours (or well much less). I'm so glad I got them! I also posted this on instagram (follow me.. shameless promo) and Porter liked it.. ◦°˚\(*❛‿❛)/˚°◦

I also made a purchase from Dorothy Perkins this month and got this wine pinafore (pinny) and faux shearling jacket.
Both of these are so nice and also look great together!
I'm really impressed, Dorothy Perkins also do a great range of sizes as their size range goes up to a size 22 on the majority of the items. Then to accommodate for everyone they have a curve range which goes from size 18-28!

I also made two cuuute purchases from Primark this month. It's always a fav. I got a black polar neck ribbed tee for under my pinafore and also the cutest knitted cape. It has a fur hood and is super cosy for this time of year! I really love it!

I also couldn't walk past these pink Star Wars pj leggings! They're so cute and also a little geeky, right up my street. The pink is my favourite shade and the animations are so cool! They are so comfortable and they have the best length for me! Definitely a favourite buy. And for £8 they were an absolute steal!

I definitely hope you saw something you liked/want to check out!

If you want to ask me anything more about these products please feel free too and if you want me to make a more in depth post about any of this please let me know. I'd definitely be more than happy!!
