Halsey Inspired Make-up Look - Including my Halsey Mac Lipstick

This look is inspired by all the little things I love about Halsey's style/makeup and matching it with her collab with Mac for her Halsey lipstick! It's a gorgeous matte cool toned grey - I'm obsessed. (I just need to get the balls, for lack of better term, to wear it in public!)

Here's the finished look..

It's a cool toned grey/slate grey metallic lid, the colours inspired from the lipstick she created, a pop of metallic blue under the eye as a nod to her blue hair which was my favourite and her all round obsession with the colour blue, a bright futuristic highlight as I always love her looks with a dewy glow and of course her lipstick on my lips! I'll go into more detail below on what I used for this look and what techniques I used.

For the base and face:
Firstly I moisturised as I have dry skin and apply a light layer of Mac Skin Base Visage to even out my skin. I used the L'Oreal Infalliable foundation in shade 140 mixed with a pump of the L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer. This adds the most healthy and gorgeous glow. If you're on the dry side like me I definitely 100% would recommend adding this into your foundation - it's gorgeous!
For concealer I use the L'Oreal True Match La Touche Magique, it's a pen like packaging with a brush at the top but this concealer is heavy duty! I find this even brightens up my under eye area a lot more than my Mac Pro Longwear Concealer.
For contour I used my Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette in Medium. For my contour I used the shade Cinnamon. I then set my eye and highlight area with Ben Nye Powder in the shade Banana. For my contour I set that using my Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette and I used the middle, of the three, contour shades.

For my eyes:
On my eyebrows I used my trusty Illamasqua Brow Gel in Stare and filled the ends in with a dark eyeshadow.
Onto my eye lids, I first prepped them with my Mac Pro Longwear Concealer and my face powder. To make sure the silver and grey shades stood out I used the metallic white shade from my Morphe Brushes 35K palette to cover my whole lids to my brow bone and used this for my brow bone highlight.
All shadows I used were from the 35K palette (thank you for recommending Jaclyn Hill!) In the crease I firstly placed a light grey matte shadow and blended it out, I followed with a darker grey shade and kept this closer to my crease this time. I then went in with a dark metallic grey and blended out the crease again going back and fourth until the three shades were perfectly blended. I then took the white shade and lightly sweeped this around the outside of the crease, and into my inner corner area for my inner corner highlight and to make sure it had an airbrushed effect blend on my lid.
For the inner third of my eyelid I placed a metallic sliver shadow as a highlight and to brighten up my grey toned eye. I dampened by brush first to get a gorgeous foil shadow effect on the inside.
Under my eye I used a bright metallic blue eyeshadow from Urban Decay (it was in one of my older palettes) and blended this out with the white shadow. (The blue doesn't show up so well on camera but it's a gorgeous metallic royal blue!)
My eye had a lot going on so I placed a white liner on the inside of my eye to brighten it up again and bring my eyes back out! I decided with the intense shadow not to do a winged liner (shocker!!) and only a long wispy lash as I know this is something Halsey is fond of. She always has gorgeous long and thick eyelash extensions so I used the lashes closest to that I had. I used one of the pairs I got in a 5 pack from ebay I'll link them here, as I know they're not an easy find but they're very cheap!! They're not for the faint hearted though and they're definitely not a 'natural' lash.
Before applying these I coated my eyelashes in my Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and applied them using Duo eyelash glue.

For Highlight:
I used my Sleek Highlighting Palette in Solstice. This palette is gorgeous. I used the shade Subsolar for a gorgeous light highlight and from the whole palette I felt the cooler shade matched this look perfectly! See my review here of this palette! I placed on the top of my cheeks, nose and cupids bow with a slight dusting on my chin and forehead of whatever was left on the brush!

On my Lips:
I used the Halsey x Mac lipstick and then I felt it was a little flat in comparison to the rest of the look as it was very matte so I added a little of the Subsolar highlight to the inside of my lips using my finger. I love the metallic effect it gives. I didn't use a lip pencil with this so I cleaned up the edges with concealer and a brush.

To finish off this look I sprayed my face in my NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray to ensure I stayed flawless and dewy.

This is my finished Halsey inspired look including Halsey Mac Lipstick! Hope you liked this and feel free to recommend me any good products I should be using!

January Favourites!

I am going to make a point of posting a favourites post every month, I get so excited reading everyone else's posts so I thought why not!

In make up, one of my biggest favourites and most used products is my Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette. I got this early December and for the last two months anytime I've worn eyeshadow it's been this palette. It has every colour you could want. Nudes, browns, metallics and brights! It's a great palette and you can create so many very different eye looks with this.

I have been loving this Bobbi Brown Blush I got in Berry. I've been using it on my eyes as a shadow colour (multiple uses makes splurging a little less guilt ridden!) It's great paired with Punk from the Gwen x UD palette and as a pop of colour under the lash line with a smokey eye!

A great drugstore product that has been gracing my face lately is the MUA (Make Up Academy) Highlighter in Iridescent Gold. For £3 this is a steal! It's best used on a damp blush to intensify that colour and it's the most gorgeous shade. I would say it's the most similar to Moonstone from ABH!

A lip combo I have been rocking lately is Mac Lip Pencil in Soar and Mac Lipstick in Mehr. This gives my lips a great mauve/pink shade which is a colour we've seen be released religiously over the last year. Thank you Kylie J. I'm in love with the shade and need every lip stick, pencil, etc. in this colour. (Roll on Friday the 12th so I can grab some Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Androgyny!)

A more random favourite on January has been a Body Shop body, room and linen spray I received as a Christmas present! It's a Jasmine & White Frangipani scent. This smell is amazing. It's a fresh scent with a hint of sweetness but nothing over powering. Anyone who has smelt this has asked what this is all the time. It's beautiful and I think I'll need to go purchase myself another one soon!

A few other favourites I have from January are my Adidas Tubular trainers in grey I got for Christmas. These are the most comfortable shoes and look so good with black jeans and a slouchy tee for an effortlessly put together look. I wore this with a bomber jacket yet nice makeup and hair and I definitely feel girly yet so comfortable - best of both worlds! (for me)

As I've been working lots lately I've been coming home, catching up on my youtube videos, blog posts, organising my posts & writing them and then playing SO MUCH MARIO KART 8. This game is too good. I'm basically a pro now, just saying. Since I played it so much this month (I've only 4 cups left to get and very little customisations) I thought it wouldn't be right to leave this out lol!

I've been obsessing over shows lately. I go through phases of watching back to back films or episodes of amazing tv shows and in January Teen Wolf came back. I watch so many tv shows but this is the only one I've religiously followed weekly from day one. Which is an amazing feat in itself really. This show started out as a teen show in a school but now nearing the end of season 5 it's dark, captivating, interesting and once the episode I'm watching ends I'm dying to see the next one. I can't speak highly enough of this show. I'm obsessed. Also, Dylan O'Brien is in it, that always helps! *Swoons*

So that's it for my favourites this month. What has been catching your eye and been a staple for January please let me know in the comments!

New Make Up Haul

Okay, so to be honest, the last seven days I have kinda splurged a bit on make up.. I can't help it, it's my guilty pleasure. Once I see a product I want it goes on my list and one by one I check them off! Also sending me into Debenhams beauty hall can be a dangerous mission for my poor bank card, oops!

So I thought I'd update you on what I got and some first impressions for the products I have used already!

1. Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Blush Palette for £35 I think this is a great product. I wasn't sure at first but it's great for my day to day make up and the pinker shades are amazing for a night time look! There is a shade which could be used as contour and possibly 2 or 3 highlight and blush shades. I have to admit I love when a product has more than one use and this can contour, highlight and add blush to my face daily - perfect!

2. Mac Lip Pencil in Nightmoth. I got this to match my Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam Lipstick and it's a perfect colour. It's a great dark vampy red/purple. I wore at at the weekend and it lasted all night without needing to be topped up even though it's a very dark colour and I was drinking (all night)!

3. Make Up Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation. I haven't tried this yet but these look amazing. I also hear Nikkie Tutorials talking about them a lot so they must be GOOD. (She's my makeup guru)

4. Mac Lipstick in Diva (Matte). This is the most gorgeous blue toned red. I'm obsessed! I can't believe I never owned this sooner, it's my absolute favourite! I seen this on a friend and had to have it and  I wore it a few times recently and it's amazing. (It's a Mac Lipstick so my hopes are always high!)

5. Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner. This is made in Japan and really cute. I love everything about it - the packaging, the product and where it's made! It's also produced by Tsubasa Masiwaka a Japanese model.

6. EX1 Invisiwear Liquid Foundation. This foundation is so good. I would say it's medium to full coverage. It lasts well on my dry skin without moving or leaving me patchy after a while which is great and for the price I really cannot fault it!

7. Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream in Honey Bear. These lip sticks have the most gorgeous gold packaging and they are so hydrating which is perfect for this time of year! It would be a sheer lipstick which is also extremely pigmented, amazing. I want more of these and the melted lipsticks! Too Faced can do no wrong in my eyes.

So there's my little haul, I love all these products and I'm excited to use them all a few times! If there's anything else you think I should have picked up let me know!

Bad Girl Vibes - Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam Inspired Look 1

As I got my Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam collection in the post a few days ago I was dying to try them out with my full 'face' on. As I couldn't wait I did a Bad Girl inspired look with Ariana's lipstick!

My post can be found HERE including swatches, what the product looks like and my first impressions!

I adore this colour and when I put it on I was a bit hesitant if I could pull it off but I just love it. It's definitely a colour I may have shied away from as it does look quite dark but once I had it on I absolutely loved it!!

The look I created included a dark eye to compliment the dark and vampy lip colour with a little bit of shimmer to brighten it up and keep it girly! This look is definitely one I want to rock in the future and I'll probably do it with a pop of glitter on my lid!

I'm going to try my best to explain how I created this look for you!

Step 1: Moisturise and prime your face. For a flawless finish and longevity this step is so important!

Step 2: This look includes a smoky eye so I applies my eyeshadow next to keep fall out to a minimum and I can clean everything up before applying my base. I started with a wash of colour all over my lid. I used Righteous from my Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Palette. It's a pale nude and helps blending the next colours on top.
I then went into my crease with Anaheim from the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay Palette (I'll link my post on this HERE so you can check it out & see the colours mentioned!) With a smaller brush and right in my crease to darken it I applied Punk from the Gwen x UD Palette - an amazing colour! On the lip I placed Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Pink Gold on my Lid. I set this with a similar shade from a UD palette and placed an extremely light layer of Bobbi Brown Blush in Berry.
I tidied up around this area with a cotton pad and then moved onto my face.

Step 3: My Base. I started with a trusty Kryolan Tv Paint Stick. This gives me my FULL coverage base and if you're looking for a similar product I reccomend the Make Up Forever Ultra HD Stick Foundation. I then added some concealer under my eyes, Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Light.
I then contoured with Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit in Medium. I used the two shades on the bottom row to the left mixed. I then highlighted my face with the lightest shade and concealer where I needed it around my face.
To set this I baked under my eyes as they have a tendency to crease and used Maybelline Loose Powder to do this. To set my contour I used Mac Blush in Harmony as it gives the best shadow colour for my skin tone.

Step 4: Once my face was nearly finished I went back to my eyes and applied a pop of colour under my eye using the Bobbi Brown blush and a shimmer shade from the Gwen Palette called Pop on my lid and on the inside of my eye. I then went in with my black eyeliner and created a long wing. I used Wet 'n' Wild Mega Liner Liquid Liner and I applied a pair of Primark lashes in Sultry.

Step 5: I then did my eyebrows using my Illamasqua Brow Gel in Stare and an angled brush.

Step 5: I decided to add some powder highlight to brighten up this look and add a little more shimmer. I used my Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle with a fan brush. I placed this on the very tops of my cheek bone, tip of my nose and then my cupids bow. To complete my look I added a small amount of pink blush to my cheek to blend everything together nicely!

Step 5: I applied my Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam Lipstick and my look was complete!!

This was a fun post and I hope you liked it! If you would like to see more feel free to leave me a comment and if you use any of these products or think of some I'd like please recommend them! I love trying new things!

Ariana Grande x Mac Viva Glam Collection

I assume anyone who's read any of my previous posts knows I LOVE Ariana. So, naturally, whenever I heard about her collab with Mac Viva Glam I was super excited, two of my favourites! I even mentioned it in my wish list for 2016 which you can find HERE. I also seen online it was due to launch January 13th so I patiently waited and it only became available on the North American website - Boo. Being me I obviously tweeted Mac in a frenzy and they replied to say it would be available in the UK on the 21st January (yay!) so I bought it as soon as I could that day! I believe it won't be in stores until this weekend (approx.) so hopefully this gives you some insight into the product first!

Ariana's style is one of my favourites ever and I couldn't wait to see what she would come up with. She brought out a Matte Lipstick and a Lipglass. The theme she went for is kind of a bad girl/good girl vibe as most people have a bit of both!

The packing is Mac's standard packaging with a metallic red on the lipstick and Ariana's signature in red on both products!

The lipstick is a dark vampy red with purple tones through it. Such a gorgeous colour which can be worn lightly as a dark red or as shown in the swatches. It's an amazing Mac quality matte lipstick which doesn't look to be too drying and has amazing staying power. Perfect for a dark shade!

The lipglass is a pale pinky/nude with glitter throughout. It's an amazing gloss and I'm so excited to try it out as it's so far from what I'd usually wear. When swatched on my had the gloss looked pretty sheer so I'm also sure it would be great on top of so many shades and not just the lipstick in this collection!

I swatched both the colours side by side here:
These two are under a white light.

The following two are taken with a flash.

I'm totally and utterly obsessed with both of these and thinking of doing 2 make up looks inspired by these - a bad girl and good girl look! Let me know if that interests you!

If you wanna treat yo' self to these the link is here. ALL proceeds go to the Mac Aids Fund which is amazing and makes spending that money a little easier and makes me a little less guilty lol!

Also if you have these products what do you think? If you don't, do you want to try and purchase them? Let me know!

TK Maxx Haul!

First off, let me say, my trips to TK Maxx are far and few between but I went with my family for a nosey today and ended up finding a few items that I kinda love! I guess, to be honest, for me in there is usually hit or miss but today it ended up being a good day!

Firstly I picked up this black longline bomber jacket which the patches.. I saw it and fell in love. It from a brand I've never actually heard of called Sweewë Paris. It's linked incase you wanna check it out! I got this for £15 today but I'm definitely sure it was worth a lot more after checking the brand out online!

I also picked up 3 Olivia Palermo x Ciaté London items which are on offer on the website but not as cheap as what I was able to pick them up for today! (Bargain!!!!)

The first is the lipstick in the shade Cashmere. I paid £5.99 for this today. The RRP was £19 and on the site today it is £13.30!

The second is the lipstick again in Praline which is slightly darker than Cashmere but so gorgeous I had to have the both! Today I paid £5.99 and the RRP was £19 but online today it is £13.30!

Here's the two colours swatched. Cashmere is on the bottom and Praline on the top! I think Praline will go perfectly with my Soar lip liner. (Flash used both times close then further away.)

The third item I picked up was the Smoked Out eye pencil in Fig. I paid £4.99 for this item today and the RRP is £15 and online it is reduced to £10.50! All in all, I think these were a great purchase and an absolute steal!

The final thing I picked up in TK Maxx today was a St. Tropez Powder Bronzer which I got for £5.99 on Look Fantastic the RRP is £20.45 and it's down to £16.36 online today!

I seriously got some absolute steals today and I couldn't be happier! I definitely think I will be checking TK Maxx out more often and if you're on a budget, a student or feeling January in the bank already I'd probably say checking out your nearest one is a must!!

MOTD/FOTD December 1st - Blogmas Day Two!

Hi guys!

Today I thought I would post my FOTD for December 1st! It was a casual make up kinda day as I was doing a few things and then working in the evening!

This is my basic 'everyday' look so you can get an idea of what I usually wear.

- - - - -

Here's a photo which includes all the products I used and I'll go into more detail on them all below!

This looks like a lot but I always say it takes a lot of make up to look 'natural'.

Face products & links: (Top picture)

L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream, Mac Powder Blush in Harmony, Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and GentleNo7 Instant Illusions Airbrush Away Primer, Mac Prep + Prime Fix +, Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation, Benefit High Beam Highlighter, Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water.

(Bottom picutre)

Face tutorial:
I firstly put my No7 primer on my forehead and cheeks, followed by my L'oreal primer on my nose and general chin area then under my eyes to blur my pores and where I need the best coverage/way to stop my make up from moving as they are problem areas. I use my Rimmel foundation all over my face and apply it with a damp beauty blender (I spray it with my fix + as this is amazing for applying my makeup evenly and flawlessly, and it also helps to blend as I have dry skin.)

I then apply my Mac powder blush as contour as this is a 'cool' brown and really gives me a good shadow colour and also warms up my forehead/face colour. I then apply a few dabs of high beam to my forehead, cheek bones, bridge of my nose and a small amount to my chin and blend again with a damp beauty blender. I then apply a small sweep of Mac's soft and gentle on my cheeks and set the rest of my face with the Rimmel loose powder and under my eyes with the L'Oreal pressed powder. I really adore both of these products for a flawless finish!

As a final step I spray the smashbox primer all over my face like a setting spray as I feels it helps keep my makeup in place and also takes away any caked look I can get from setting my make up with a powder!

Eye/Lip Tutorial: I start with my eyebrows after my face is finished. I apply my Illamasqua brow gel with an angled brush and try to give the front an 'ombre' effect. I then apply my winged eyeliner using my NYX eye marker but I do tend to change between that and my Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen! I then move onto my lips and prep them by using my lip scrub followed by my lip balm. I let this settle into my lips and then apply my mascara. I love this Maybelline one but I have repurchased it in the very black but not waterproof as I found it VERY hard to remove even with eye make up remover. After applying a few coats of this (I prefer thicker mascara) I move onto my lips! I line them with my Mac lip pencil in Soar and then fill them in with Twig. My lipstick is basically done as I wear this ALL the time and it's one of my favourite everyday Mac lipsticks along with Mehr.

Here's a side angled picture of my face so you can see the contour and detail closer of my make up!

Please ask me anything about any of these products and also tell me your favourite everyday products I want to try more!!

Thank you!

Winter Essentials.. Blogmas Day One!

Untitled

Hi guys!
As we’re entering into the colder time of the year I finally feel like it’s winter, it’s time to say goodbye to autumn (and I’ve the christmas feelin’).. With it only to get colder soon. So, here’s a little peek into my winter needs including everything from shoes, clothes, accessories, beauty items and even a few lifestyle needs for this chilly season!
–   –   –   –
I’m hugely into dark reds, purple and camel this year. I’ve also been into my usual winter staples like dark denim and monochrome being a huge presence. (Usually an all year round thing though, can’t shake that black from my wardrobe!)
I’ll start firstly with my outfit (clothing) staples for this time of year..
I’m a huge black boot advocate, it sounds extreme but it’s true, the majority of my shoe collection is different types of black boots and I’m not complaining they’re all amazing. I can’t resist a pair when I see them. Especially for this time of year I love a good knee high or over the knee pair of boots. I have mine in black (duh!) but they are amazing in a variety of colours from red, camel, grey, brown and khaki green! They are extremely versatile and I can wear them with a number of outfits. I’ve rocked them on nights out with a nice above the knee dress, which is my favourite way to wear them as mine have a substantial heel. They can be worn with an oversized jumper for a day look and look amazing paired with a dress during the day and tights if you’re feeling like covering up a little more. They also look great with a jean or legging and an oversized jumper for a great effortlessly dressed well look. (These are my favourite kind, if I can put in as little effort as possible but still look like I tried to look good is perfect for me!)
Here is a photo of mine as I’ll be uploading an ootd very soon including these beauties ♡
tumblr_niyoknZi4z1qb86hno1_1280
I got mine from public desire and I’ll link them here (they also do student discount as many other sites mentioned do), but these boots are now scattered around a lot of online stores such as la moda, boohoo, missguided, new look (who do a wide fit version!) and more.
My next winter staple is something people have been rocking for some time but only recently have I purchased my own after lusting after them online. It’s a fur gillet! I know these aren’t the hardest item to wear but it took me a long time to find a decent one within my budget (many decent ones I seen were nearer the £100 mark!!!) that didn’t add on too much to myself and was flattering to wear. What surprised me was that I found this in Primark! I got this cream/beige fur gillet for £18 and it was an absolute steal. The flatness of the fur suits my shape well and as I am quite tall (around 5’9) this length was perfect! They were also instore in brown but it didn’t suit me as much. I’ve an ootd with this item included which I will post very soon for you guys so keep your eyes posted so you can see how lovely this looks on! As Primark haven’t got a website I’ve looked up similar plus sized gillets available online for you here – New Look Inspire Faux Fur Gilet (In black and stone/cream), ASOS CURVE Longline Faux Fur Gilet in NaturalASOS CURVE Faux Fur Gilet (black).

A great winter coat is always a necessity. I seen a great camel coat from Warehouse last year, lusted over it and never bought it then regretted it. Luckily for me it reappeared for the summer sale and I bagged it there and then to keep for winter. I stored it away and it’s finally time for me to bring it out of storage. This coat is the perfect shape for me as I love a swing coat! The colour is so gorgeous and the fabric. Paired with my scarf and a basic outfit this coat is amazing and I can’t praise it enough! I also like to change my coats very often so I have a part of my wardrobe dedicated to coats and jackets as I really just have way too many. Definitely more than any girls needs but I’m not complaining. Coats are my thing. And shoes.. And make up.. I tend to wear a jacket I got during the summer from Topshop a lot also and a coat that was a steal from Primark. (again!) I have many others that I’m sure you’ll see cropping up in ootd’s very soon! I have been really enjoying some of the coats ASOS also has to offer recently as they look amazing! This New Look Inspire Tailored Coat is pretty similar to my Warehouse jacket. ThisTopshop Longline Slouchy Coat is a coat version of my jacket and would also look really cool paired with a fur collar!
Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

Onto my winter accessories..
I’m a big fan of a scarf during winter especially with these colder times approaching. My go to is ALWAYS a tartan scarf and has been for a few years. I generally go for a red based tartan but I also love a green/blue tartan. My scarf of choice is a H! By Henry Holland scarf I picked up about 2 years ago in Debenhams! It’s a great scarf and I continually reach for it with nearly every outfit I wear! Here is a tartan scarf by this brand available this year. I’m not as fond of it but I looked around and found a few similar scarves which I think are amazing. This Red Check Skinny Scarf from New Look is pretty similar to mine. There are an abundance of these kind of scarves online New Look have them in a variety of colours and Missguided. Another type to mention is fur collars or fur scarfs. There are amazing and can really change a coat to make it look completely different! Missguided have an amazing range of these here. Some of my favourites are the faux fur wrap in greenfaux fur wrap in purplefaux fur wrap in blackfaux fur stripe scarf and the faux fur patchwork scarf. These all look amazing and are great to wear with a basic outfit or with a plain coat to make it look more interesting and expensive! These are also great for revamping an old winter coat instead of being out of pocket for a new one. I’d definitely recommend!
Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

As common as these may be tights are a BIG winter staple for me. I never feel as comfortable in jeans as I do in a comfy dress or skirt during the winter so my choice in tights is super important. I usually buy my tights from Primark and I go for the Super Cosy Tights to keep warm in the winter evenings. Now I understand tights can be a tricky thing whenever you’re plus size as you don’t want your legs to feel like they’re stuffed into your tights or have them constantly fall down with every step you take or move you make. (trying not to sing along..) I can highly recommend these ASOS CURVE 200 Denier Tights as they are comfy and cosy and come in 200 denier to keep you toasty! They also have tights from 15 denier up and funky designed tights for the more adventurous!
Onto the beauty products I always need this time of year..
As a usual trend for this time of year I like to change my lip and eye products. I tend to go for darker colours. I a big fan of a dark red lip or a blue-toned red lip for winter as it’s what suits me best. I love pairing this with a matte nude/brown eyeshadow, black cat eye, eyebrows (on fleek), and a nice warm contour & highlight! This is my usual everyday make up for this time of year. I’ll do a winter make up post soon and talk about all my favourite products, how I apply them and my final look! My favourite lip products for this are Topshop Lips in Beguiled (It’s a lot more red than swatched on the site) I’ve even finished this and repurchased it I love it so much, Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick in Grand Cru and Mac Lipstick in Sin.
During the cold weather I tend to fall victim to sore and hacked lips. I love to wear matte lipsticks especially when wearing red to minimise it transferring all over my face! To keep my lips in good condition I use a lip balm through out the day when I’ve no lipstick on and before I start my make up and after I remove my make up! Before starting my make up I moisturise my face, letting that sink into my skin I start to prep my lips. My lip products I use to do this are Lush Lip Scrub in Mint Julips (Only flavour I like) and then an EOS Balm either in Sweet Mint or Vanilla Mint. I scrub my lips with the scrub to remove and dry skin and I then put on my eos balm to sink in. Once I’ve completed my full face of make up I do my lips last. They’re then prepared and ready for a matte lip product (or any) to be applied and my lips look full and moisturised all day! I promise this small step really makes the difference during this time.
Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

Another cosy winter necessity is candles ♡♡♡..
I’m obsessed with candles. I love how a room/space can just become so cosy once you light a candle and the Yankee Candle scents are amazing. I love a sweet candle which I know isn’t to everyones taste but I thought I’d include some of my favourites in the master post because is it really winter and cosy times if I don’t?
I like to start burning festive candles around November/December. To stop myself from getting too festive too early this year I started to burn Candy Cane Lane at the start of November. It’s a sweet minty smell (just like a candy cane, duh) but it’s perfect for not getting too festive. During the festive period some of my favourites are Snowflake Cookie,Christmas CookieFireside Treats ♡ and Home Sweet Home!
Processed with VSCOcam with c1 presetChristmas Eve and a well loved Candy Cane Lane.
I thought I’d also add some winter entertainment to my master post to help you get to know me better..
Festive films I’d definitely recommend are HOME ALONE (one of my fav movies ever!!) and Elf. Music wise, my ‘Winter Jam’ for years (like 5) has been My Boots – LIGHTS. She’s one of my fav artists and once I start to remotely feel wintery this song goes on repeat, and I love a good pair of boots. Perfect! (I just had to turn it on while finishing this post *dances while typing*)
