Music Fridays!
As promised on the last Friday of the month here's my Music Friday Playlist.
This includes all the tunes I've been blasting around the house during April, so here you go..
I've been pretty much obsessing over these songs during April and I really can't recommend the What A Drag EP from Beach Weather enough. Perfect chill summer vibes songs or something I can envision in the background of Made In Chelsea. I can't get enough lately it's been on repeat for days! (Check out Wolf I love that track!)
What have you been listening to throughout April? I love checking out new songs and artists, recommend me what you think I'll like based on my playlist!!

Very Late - March Favourites!
So. It's been a while.
To be honest I kinda didn't know what I wanted to be posting for a while and took a short break until I really got the urge to start posting again and more regularly! I had a lot going on and just needed a little me time..
But that's done now and I'm ready to get back into the swing of things and what better way than to do a favourites post!! An extremely late one if I'm honest but better late than never, yeah?
Anyway, here's my favourites for March 2016!
1. L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24hr Foundation. This is one of my favourite drug store foundations if not my favourite! I use so many different foundations but this one is great for a full day of makeup ie. work where i'm out from about 9am to 6pm, as it doesn't move or dry out my skin too much which can be a big problem for me. I've been loving this for it's coverage also, it covers all my redness and dark circles (that being said I still place a little concealer under my eyes.. Staying up late to watch 'one more episode' before an early morning eyes need a little more tlc!)
2. Dior Airflash Foundation. This is a spray on foundation. To be honest I wasn't one hundred percent sure how I was going to feel about this but after seeing it pop up everywhere on YouTube tutorials and seeing some of my absolute favourite people use it (Jeffree Star, Nikkie Tutorials and Patrick Star) I knew I needed to try this out. As it's on the more expensive side I only use this if I'm going out or have something on where I've a full face of makeup on and not in my daily makeup routine. When talking to the staff at the Dior counter I picked it up at she suggested wearing it as a top coat of foundation over another for a flawless finish to save the product and make it last longer. I use it on top of my Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation Stick as that's my number one foundation at the moment and I'm absolutely in love with the finish it gives me. I find it leaves a more matte finish to my MF foundation as I find it can also be slightly oily on me so this balances out for a flawless look all night! I'm in love.
3. Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser. I have definitely found this is helping to stop my skin getting clogged up and stopping me getting breakouts. I have really dry skin on my eyes (around my eyes I suffer from ezcema) and cheeks but I'm oiler on my t-zone and around my chin area. I struggled to find a moisturiser which kept my skin from drying out during the day but also stopped my pores from clogging up in my oiler areas. This works perfect for me and it's really light weight! It keeps me moisturised all day and I even love the smell when applying it.
4. Boots Botanics Rosewater Toner. I'm actually really seeing results from this and I'm so surprised for such a small price tag! I had darker patches around my chin from past blemishes and I can really see them fading. I also noticed the texture on the tops of my cheeks fading too! I'm trying so hard to get the texture of my skin away so if anyone has any tips please send them my way!
5. Morphe 35T Palette. I love the colours in this palette. They're warm taupe, brown and shimmer shades. It's so gorgeous and I definitely think this palette is under appreciated. I'm serious, for such a small price tag I'm surprised more people don't have this as a makeup collection staple! Also, I just purchased the 35K palette so expect posts on that soon!
6. BaByliss Pro Curling Wand. I find this so easy and so great to use to create tight curls or loose waves! For really tight curls which last me days I curl each piece then pin it up and when my whole head is cool I take it down or leave it over night. For slightly looser curls I just curl the hair, spray with hairspray and let it cool and then run my fingers through it to separate the curls! For loose waves I do the same as the second method and when it's cool I brush it through for gorgeous beachy-summer vibes hair! And for just less than £20 this curling wand is a steal! It also has multiple heat settings so if like me you wear extensions or don't want to damage your own hair the lowest setting is perfect to still get great curls!
In terms of other favourites in March I was obsessed with Tattoo Fixers! I never got to watch a full episode as I just saw bits here and there but I finally watched every episode. It's a great show and despite the backlash that was online I really enjoyed it.. and Jay and Sketch. They're both so beautiful! lol
I also started a new thing called Music Fridays so on the last Friday of the month I'll post my playlist for that month which will be an eclectic mix of all my favourite tunes from the previous month! March's is up on the blog so check it out HERE!
That's everythinig for March and expect more posts and fun things soon!!

Music Fridays.
This is a new thing I'm going to start posting regularly on my blog!
I've such a love for music and I thought it would be cool to share my favourite songs from the month in a monthly playlist posted the last Friday of every month!
I always love checking out other peoples playlists and what they're listening to. Music is such an easy way to get to know someone and I thought it'd be fun for some of you to find some new music and possibly recommend me some cool tunes to check out also!
Without further ado, here is my March 2016 playlist:

10 Things I Want To Do in 2016
Looking back over 2014 and partly 2015 I did some cool and fun things. I decided to make a list of 10 things I'd like to do this year. Some big, some small, but important to me none the less. I want to try and tick as many of these off the list as possible and I should probably get a move on as it's mid February now!
1. Visit Glasgow (Again). To be honest I've spent lots of time in Glasgow and I absolutely love it there. It's the only place where I would move in a heartbeat. (Tokyo is a close second.. But I've never actually been there lol!). I went by ferry a few years ago and it was so nice but flying from Ireland is so easy, about 20-25 mins in the air. I love everything about Glasgow. The people, events, shops (!!!) and the nightlife! Oh, and I can't forget that accent!! I've also come across some of the best food there. I wanna go back so bad right now..
So there you go, thats what I want to do/achieve in 2016. I know it's a bit late as most people do this in the new year but it honestly took me this long to figure out what I wanted to do! I also hope this let you get a closer look into me and what I like etc. I thought it was time for a personal post on here.. So, let me know things you want to do/improve on! Let's have a talk..
2. Go to more concerts. I've always been an avid concert go-er. Concerts and festivals are my thing. Hell, music in general is just my thing. I've seen so many amazing acts over the years. I'm so lucky. This year I definitely want to add to that list though. Belsonic and Tennant's Vital are two festivals in Northern Ireland and I tend to try and not miss either for at least a day of the line up. They usually happen around the same time so last year I managed to see Bry, Twenty One Pilots, All Time Low, Echosmith, Bastille, Ellie Goulding, John Newman and Calvin Harris in the space of a few days - amazing!
3. Beach evenings in Ireland. I spent a few days at the beach with my friends last year. Obviously, living in Ireland these are few and far between unless you feel like wrapping up before the beach to avoid getting frostbite. But these are some of my favourite nights. My friend just kinda came to collect me and a few of us went down and just walked along the beach and it's so nice. Maybe being outside isn't that bad after all..
4. Travel more. This one is a bit more broad but I kinda just wanna spend a little less time here at home. Maybe take a shopping trip somewhere else, maybe just go on a random adventure. This is just something I really want to do more and get out of my comfort zone.
5. Nerd out more. Ok, so anyone who knows me personally knows my deep passion for all things nerdy. I definitely want to nerd out more in general. Probably did enough for the whole of 2016 after seeing Deadpool last night. It was everything I expected and more. The violence, gore and sarcasm was on point. I couldn't love it any more if I tried. But yeah, lets talk about films, games and general geekery more on here, deal?
6. Explore my home town more. When having a discussion with a friend lately I realised there's so many things, places and activities I've missed out on. I never venture much into my home town. I spend my time in the cinema, shopping, in food places or home. I never really see what this place has got to offer. Last year I did a handful of fun things around here, some including a haunted walk around the city walls and a halloween haunted house. I'd definitely be up for more in 2016!
7. Fire pit with my friends. This one is really just a good people, good times and good stories kinda vibe. I just love hanging with my friends, maybe having a drink and a good catch up because we don't see each other so much now life kinda gets in the way so these times are precious and the best. Here's to more!
8. CREATE. I love drawing/painting and just creating art. Wether that is through art, music, photography or even blogging. I always need a creative outlet and I always have. This blog has really helped me to realise that and start to get my creative juices flowing again at the end of 2015 and I really want to carry that into 2016. It helps keep me sane! So here's to more posts, drawing/art and music! (I will continue to play/get better at guitar too)
9. Expand my make up knowledge. Make up is a passion of mine, I love everything about it. How it makes me feel when I complete a look and think I've nailed it, the before and after, the creative-ness of it, the limitless boundaries. You can do anything you want with make up, it has no rules. I really want to expand everything I know. I want to know more about products, brands, application, what suits which skin types etc. I just want to absorb everything I can! I also want to attend classes/tutorials on make up. I want to increase my application skills a lot. I just love a beat face, ok?
10. Expand my blog. This one is kinda obvious but I've realised lately I love doing this. I love buying new products and trying them out and then to have a place to write what I think and interact with other people and hear their thoughts and opinions is pretty cool. I also love now that when I read about products I know it's from a mutual make up lover and not someone getting paid to give a good review (pet peeve!). I love how I can trust others opinions and hopefully you all can trust mine too. It's a community on here and I want to delve deeper into that and make more friends/mutuals. Talk to me and ask me questions, I'm excited to answer them and talk with you!!

Winter Essentials.. Blogmas Day One!

Hi guys!
As we’re entering into the colder time of the year I finally feel like it’s winter, it’s time to say goodbye to autumn (and I’ve the christmas feelin’).. With it only to get colder soon. So, here’s a little peek into my winter needs including everything from shoes, clothes, accessories, beauty items and even a few lifestyle needs for this chilly season!
– – – –
I’m hugely into dark reds, purple and camel this year. I’ve also been into my usual winter staples like dark denim and monochrome being a huge presence. (Usually an all year round thing though, can’t shake that black from my wardrobe!)
I’ll start firstly with my outfit (clothing) staples for this time of year..
I’m a huge black boot advocate, it sounds extreme but it’s true, the majority of my shoe collection is different types of black boots and I’m not complaining they’re all amazing. I can’t resist a pair when I see them. Especially for this time of year I love a good knee high or over the knee pair of boots. I have mine in black (duh!) but they are amazing in a variety of colours from red, camel, grey, brown and khaki green! They are extremely versatile and I can wear them with a number of outfits. I’ve rocked them on nights out with a nice above the knee dress, which is my favourite way to wear them as mine have a substantial heel. They can be worn with an oversized jumper for a day look and look amazing paired with a dress during the day and tights if you’re feeling like covering up a little more. They also look great with a jean or legging and an oversized jumper for a great effortlessly dressed well look. (These are my favourite kind, if I can put in as little effort as possible but still look like I tried to look good is perfect for me!)
Here is a photo of mine as I’ll be uploading an ootd very soon including these beauties ♡

I got mine from public desire and I’ll link them here (they also do student discount as many other sites mentioned do), but these boots are now scattered around a lot of online stores such as la moda, boohoo, missguided, new look (who do a wide fit version!) and more.
My next winter staple is something people have been rocking for some time but only recently have I purchased my own after lusting after them online. It’s a fur gillet! I know these aren’t the hardest item to wear but it took me a long time to find a decent one within my budget (many decent ones I seen were nearer the £100 mark!!!) that didn’t add on too much to myself and was flattering to wear. What surprised me was that I found this in Primark! I got this cream/beige fur gillet for £18 and it was an absolute steal. The flatness of the fur suits my shape well and as I am quite tall (around 5’9) this length was perfect! They were also instore in brown but it didn’t suit me as much. I’ve an ootd with this item included which I will post very soon for you guys so keep your eyes posted so you can see how lovely this looks on! As Primark haven’t got a website I’ve looked up similar plus sized gillets available online for you here – New Look Inspire Faux Fur Gilet (In black and stone/cream), ASOS CURVE Longline Faux Fur Gilet in Natural, ASOS CURVE Faux Fur Gilet (black).

A great winter coat is always a necessity. I seen a great camel coat from Warehouse last year, lusted over it and never bought it then regretted it. Luckily for me it reappeared for the summer sale and I bagged it there and then to keep for winter. I stored it away and it’s finally time for me to bring it out of storage. This coat is the perfect shape for me as I love a swing coat! The colour is so gorgeous and the fabric. Paired with my scarf and a basic outfit this coat is amazing and I can’t praise it enough! I also like to change my coats very often so I have a part of my wardrobe dedicated to coats and jackets as I really just have way too many. Definitely more than any girls needs but I’m not complaining. Coats are my thing. And shoes.. And make up.. I tend to wear a jacket I got during the summer from Topshop a lot also and a coat that was a steal from Primark. (again!) I have many others that I’m sure you’ll see cropping up in ootd’s very soon! I have been really enjoying some of the coats ASOS also has to offer recently as they look amazing! This New Look Inspire Tailored Coat is pretty similar to my Warehouse jacket. ThisTopshop Longline Slouchy Coat is a coat version of my jacket and would also look really cool paired with a fur collar!

Onto my winter accessories..
I’m a big fan of a scarf during winter especially with these colder times approaching. My go to is ALWAYS a tartan scarf and has been for a few years. I generally go for a red based tartan but I also love a green/blue tartan. My scarf of choice is a H! By Henry Holland scarf I picked up about 2 years ago in Debenhams! It’s a great scarf and I continually reach for it with nearly every outfit I wear! Here is a tartan scarf by this brand available this year. I’m not as fond of it but I looked around and found a few similar scarves which I think are amazing. This Red Check Skinny Scarf from New Look is pretty similar to mine. There are an abundance of these kind of scarves online New Look have them in a variety of colours and Missguided. Another type to mention is fur collars or fur scarfs. There are amazing and can really change a coat to make it look completely different! Missguided have an amazing range of these here. Some of my favourites are the faux fur wrap in green, faux fur wrap in purple, faux fur wrap in black, faux fur stripe scarf and the faux fur patchwork scarf. These all look amazing and are great to wear with a basic outfit or with a plain coat to make it look more interesting and expensive! These are also great for revamping an old winter coat instead of being out of pocket for a new one. I’d definitely recommend!

As common as these may be tights are a BIG winter staple for me. I never feel as comfortable in jeans as I do in a comfy dress or skirt during the winter so my choice in tights is super important. I usually buy my tights from Primark and I go for the Super Cosy Tights to keep warm in the winter evenings. Now I understand tights can be a tricky thing whenever you’re plus size as you don’t want your legs to feel like they’re stuffed into your tights or have them constantly fall down with every step you take or move you make. (trying not to sing along..) I can highly recommend these ASOS CURVE 200 Denier Tights as they are comfy and cosy and come in 200 denier to keep you toasty! They also have tights from 15 denier up and funky designed tights for the more adventurous!
Onto the beauty products I always need this time of year..
As a usual trend for this time of year I like to change my lip and eye products. I tend to go for darker colours. I a big fan of a dark red lip or a blue-toned red lip for winter as it’s what suits me best. I love pairing this with a matte nude/brown eyeshadow, black cat eye, eyebrows (on fleek), and a nice warm contour & highlight! This is my usual everyday make up for this time of year. I’ll do a winter make up post soon and talk about all my favourite products, how I apply them and my final look! My favourite lip products for this are Topshop Lips in Beguiled (It’s a lot more red than swatched on the site) I’ve even finished this and repurchased it I love it so much, Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick in Grand Cru and Mac Lipstick in Sin.
During the cold weather I tend to fall victim to sore and hacked lips. I love to wear matte lipsticks especially when wearing red to minimise it transferring all over my face! To keep my lips in good condition I use a lip balm through out the day when I’ve no lipstick on and before I start my make up and after I remove my make up! Before starting my make up I moisturise my face, letting that sink into my skin I start to prep my lips. My lip products I use to do this are Lush Lip Scrub in Mint Julips (Only flavour I like) and then an EOS Balm either in Sweet Mint or Vanilla Mint. I scrub my lips with the scrub to remove and dry skin and I then put on my eos balm to sink in. Once I’ve completed my full face of make up I do my lips last. They’re then prepared and ready for a matte lip product (or any) to be applied and my lips look full and moisturised all day! I promise this small step really makes the difference during this time.

Another cosy winter necessity is candles ♡♡♡..
I’m obsessed with candles. I love how a room/space can just become so cosy once you light a candle and the Yankee Candle scents are amazing. I love a sweet candle which I know isn’t to everyones taste but I thought I’d include some of my favourites in the master post because is it really winter and cosy times if I don’t?
I like to start burning festive candles around November/December. To stop myself from getting too festive too early this year I started to burn Candy Cane Lane at the start of November. It’s a sweet minty smell (just like a candy cane, duh) but it’s perfect for not getting too festive. During the festive period some of my favourites are Snowflake Cookie,Christmas Cookie, Fireside Treats ♡ and Home Sweet Home!

I thought I’d also add some winter entertainment to my master post to help you get to know me better..
Festive films I’d definitely recommend are HOME ALONE (one of my fav movies ever!!) and Elf. Music wise, my ‘Winter Jam’ for years (like 5) has been My Boots – LIGHTS. She’s one of my fav artists and once I start to remotely feel wintery this song goes on repeat, and I love a good pair of boots. Perfect! (I just had to turn it on while finishing this post *dances while typing*)

If there’s anything else you guys wanna see or ask my opinion on, let me know!
